Wig Size Guide
Share
Wigs are often available in different sizes; when the size is one size it is considered medium, while if there are others the sizes are usually divided as follows:
XS with a circumference of 48-51cm : mainly includes wigs for children and young people.
S (small) with a circumference of 51-54cm : it is not so rare in Europe to find smaller circumferences, in this case you can resort to wigs in the small size.
M with a circumference of 54-57cm : the majority of men and women fall within these measurements, so the choice is wide.
L with circumference of over 57cm : if you fall into this category, contact us for a request on a specific product.
How to find the right size?
All you need to do is measure the circumference of your head from your forehead to your nape using a tape measure (or another non-flexible object that will allow you to measure the length to within a meter): the exact point on your forehead where you should start measuring is your hairline, that is, 4 fingers above your frontal bone, that is, above your eye.
Then starting from here, move towards the back of the head, passing behind the ear, up to the nape of the neck and back up, reaching the starting point again on the forehead after measuring the entire circumference of the head.
This is the most commonly used standard method for measuring the head and the one that major brands adapt to.
You can also take more detailed measurements, but remember that high-quality wigs adapt to the shape of your head with use.
Machine made wigs tend to be slightly larger, while hand made wigs hug the head and fit better due to the flexible cap materials.
On the product pages you will find information about sizes; If you are hesitating between two sizes, you need to choose a size, we recommend choosing the larger one: you can tighten the wig, but loosening it would be more complicated!
